About Seagull Bar (Bar Gaivota)
Seagull Bar or Bar Gaivota as it is called in Portuguese, is a great little bar for sports lovers and, in fact, a great place for the whole family! Run by sports fan Fernando Reis, Seagull Bar offers snacks and drinks, including a huge choice of cocktails (for adults and children). With its traditonal pub feel and walls laden with sporting memorabilia, Seagull Bar is the ideal place to go and watch sports, and with Sky and Setanta there shouldn't be anything that you can't see. If you don't want to be inside watching TV, there is a nice seating area outside to make the most of a sunny afternoon or balmy evening.
Seagull Bar has a full range of beers, ale and cider, including Boddingtons, John Smiths, Strongbow, Budweiser, Speckled, Guinness, Heineken, Murphys, Magners, Jensen and Sagres. The snacks menu is incredibly well priced, with prices from 2,25€ to 3€ for steak sandwiches, toasties and hamburgers. The tempting cocktail menu offers a great choice of long cocktails for 5€, with favourites such as a "screw driver", "harvey wall banger" and "singapore sling" as well as many others and special coffee cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails for children. There's also a Happy Hour (or two!) from 8-10pm!
